With a highly engaged social media audience, social video content was highlighted as the most effective way of reaching and driving engagement with fans.
Emotions run deep so we wanted to connect fans and players by asking team members what their favourite fan moments were and why they thought Liverpool was such a special club to play for. A twist on usual game where the players are at the centre, this put the community at the heart of the campaign.
We opted for a multi-camera approach to ensure all the angles were captured and filmed some iconic shots around the stadium too.
Some clever filters and grading allowed us to tone a lot of the colours captured in the film, and highlight the all-important and infamous Liverpool ‘red’,
The result was an extremely emotive, cinematic visual which was loved by all the parties involved, but most importantly, the fans themselves.
The smooth panning movement of the camera with each player looking up at The Kop, interviews and match footage combined with crowd chants of “you’ll never walk alone” proved to be the perfect mix.
