On Thursday 17th November, Big Brand Ideas attended The North East Cheshire Business Awards for the second year in a row, this time accompanied by our good friends (and sponsors of the awards) SAS Daniels.
We were nominated for Best Use of Social Media and Business of the Year Turnover up to £5 Million, both of which we were over the moon with. If this wasn’t enough, we won Best Use of Social Media along with One Minute Briefs for our combined work on the Love Your NHS campaign!
We loved seeing so many of our peers from North East Cheshire picking up awards for all of their hard work, especially our friends from CSI Media and Colin Lawson from Equilibrium Asset Management who picked up Entrepreneur of the Year.
Nick Entwistle, Director of One Minute Briefs said: “I am delighted for us to win this award alongside Big Brand Ideas. Collaboration is important to One Minute Briefs and this win shows that when people work together they can achieve great things. Who knew that Macclesfield would play such a big role in helping the NHS get to Xmas No.1 and push the #LoveYourNHS campaign on to the world stage… With a little help from our friend Justin Bieber”.
We also heard speeches by the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust about all of the fantastic work they are doing to support the terminally ill, chronically sick, disabled and disadvantaged children. They weren’t the only charity who inspired the audience, with Age UK Cheshire East picking up the Charity of the Year Award.
Of course the evening wouldn’t be complete without a giant selfie board, sponsored by yours truly!
Jodie Houghton, Account Manager at Big Brand Ideas said: “It can be all too easy to get caught up in the fast-paced nature of a agency life, so much so that you forget to stop and celebrate the successes. That’s why its so important for us to put ourselves forward for these awards, because it rewards not only the hard work of the team, but from a PR perspective it shows potential clients what we are capable of”.
A huge congratulations to the winners and nominees. All the team from BBI thoroughly enjoyed the night and look forward to hopefully seeing everyone again next year!
