At Big Brand Ideas we recently had the pleasure of welcoming seven Creative Media Production students from Macclesfield College into the agency to present their ideas for their final projects.
The presentations were spread out across a full morning and their ideas ranged from videos for YouTube and various social channels to comedy scripts, photography, music videos, artistic murals and more. It was a great opportunity for the students to see how an agency works and get useful feedback from industry experts.
We were all very impressed with the students, and felt that with a bit of polishing their ideas will become fantastic pieces of creative work. We can’t wait to see them! The students were guided through the day by their Tutor, Annie Ashton, who organised the event along with BBI’s Digital Director, Billy Bamford.
Our relationship with the college will continue way past this one day. We’ve already welcomed a few students in for work experience, and we’ll continue to offer places when we can so the students can see how their projects work from an agency perspective. We are also hoping to set up an agency-student portal, where members of the BBI team can offer extra training.
We feel that this is a great opportunity to help the next generation of creatives gain the experience they need to break into the industry. The team over at Big Macc Productions and the Performance and Media department of Macclesfield College are doing brilliant things for the students and we are happy to play our part.
